Mahatma Gandhi said that, “The pure love of one person can offset the hatred of thousands.” And I love how Webster’s dictionary defines love as, “An unselfish loyal concern for the good of others.” Accordingly, I believe the expression of love is the most powerful energy we have. This powerful energy has the ability to create positive change in every living being on the planet. For that reason, we should practice living our lives using this energy of love every single day. Try starting your day by asking the question, “Who can I send or give love to today.” By applying this principal, the universe will always send someone your way in need of the very love that you are waiting to give.
Every action we take should come from the place of reverence for all living beings. Once that becomes a part of our belief system we will begin to live and give from a place of love. What we give to others we give to ourselves. This principal activates the Law of Attraction. And as we know, the Law of Attractions states, “Like attracts like.” So if we are giving love to others unconditionally without attachment, we will feel energized by it. And love will flow back to us when we least expect it. But on the other hand, if we are giving love from a place of fear, lack, obligation or the self proclaim mighty ego, then we will feel drained and exhausted. The bottom line is we get what we give.
If we continue to practice unconditional love we will no longer think in terms of being separate and apart from one another. The fear that there is not enough to go around and the need for competition, jealousy, or envy will disappear. The positive vibrations that are created from living in this space of unconditional love will actually transform our world. We will become our brother/sister keeper. We will begin to uplift and encourage everyone we meet whereby creating what we are all searching for, heaven on earth.
I believe my purpose on this planet is to teach others how to love one another unconditionally. I’ve learned the concepts of unconditional love in my own life through the principal of forgiveness. I accomplished that by releasing my attachment to every bad situation in my life. After I released the situation, I forgave everyone involved. Then I sent them unconditional love. As Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. So I urge you to just love one another!”
“Love is our highest word and the synonym for GOD”. ~ Emerson
Your affirmation for this month is, “I only give unconditional love.”
