Over the years we’ve witnessed the many controversial comments made by Kanye West.  For instance, September 2, 2005 during a benefit concert of Hurricane Katrina relief he deviated from the prepared script and blurted out, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people”. In 2006 he appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone in the image of Jesus wearing a crown of thorns which created a great deal of controversy. Then in November of 2006 when his video “Touch the Sky” failed to win Best Video at the MTV Europe Music Awards, he walk onto the stage as the award was being presented to the winner and argued that he should have won the award instead.   Undoubtedly, I think his disruptive behavior at the 2009 MTV music awards was the finally straw. During the MTV music awards, while Taylor Swift was accepting her award for Best Female Video, Kanye felt it necessary to grab the microphone to declare that Beyonce’s video was the best video of all time. As a result of his actions, he was removed from the remainder of the show.

So let see if we can get some insight as to who Kanye West really is by looking at his numerology blueprint. He was born Kanye Omari West on 6/8/1977. What I noticed right away was the triple 8’s in his blue print. His destiny number is 62/8 (derived from his birth name), he was born on an 8th day, and his personality number is an 8 (derived from the consonants in his entire name) and the personality number describes how people will perceive you. The personality number describes what you show the world.

In numerology the numbers 4 and 8 are called the numbers of fate and destiny. People with the number 8 as their birth number are considered “Children of Fate” more so than those with the birth number of 4. Hard luck seems to follow those whose lives are dominated by the 4 and the 8.

With so many 8’s in his numerology blueprint, Kanye can be very strong in character. His strong character gives him the ability to be hardworking, devoted, and self-sacrificing. But the over influence of the 8 energy may cause him to feel that he doesn’t receive the rewards that others are entitled to or the recognition he deserves. And because of this, the 8 person may misuse his power and dominate situations or people in a manner which is likely to cause problems.  

An 8 personality most likely wants to do things their own way much of the time, often because they are convinced that their way is the right or only way. The intensification of the 8 in Kanye’s blueprint is asking that he learns to take others needs more fully into account in order to alleviate the problems his self-centered or selfish approach may cause. And at times, an impatient or intolerant attitude may only add to the difficulties. He is often most demanding of himself and tries to maintain the highest standards in his work. He may expect others to maintain the same rigorous standards and may be surprised at the resentment caused by his request. He can be stubborn and rigid more often than he likes to admit, often guided by a limited one-track view of the situation in which he’s involved. He has to learn to distinguish between the situations where he is helping himself by standing firm with the courage of his conviction from the situations where he is hurting his own interests because of his fixed approach.  

Although the 8 personality manages to rise to a position of high authority, it burdens them with stressful responsibilities, great anxiety, and long hours. The accumulation of wealth is not unlikely for them, but the wealth may not bring any real or lasting happiness. In addition, they are often required to pay too high a price for love which almost invariable brings with it suffering of some kind.

In order for Kanye West to move through these karmic or fateful lessons, he has to develop a positive sense of self-assurance so that he can express himself well enough in order for people to appreciate his presence and his abilities. And until he learns this he will be short changing himself and most likely making it very difficult for him to have lasting and meaningful relationships.
